Triceratops:

His name is Triceratops. His name means that he has 3 horns. Triceratops walks on four legs. All of his legs are strong and have lots of muscles. Triceratops drank water that he found in the river, in the lake. Triceratops ate leaves from the bottom of the tree. He could not reach the top ones because he was not big enough and did not have a long neck. Triceratops had flat teeth. They are flat so he can chew plants and grass. He does not need pointy teeth, because those are for ripping meat like Tyrannosaurus Rex. Triceratops head is as big as a car. Triceratops has 3 horns on his head. Two are bigger, and one is little. His big horns are bigger than the teacher’s arm, but only the ones above his eyes. The little one isn’t even as big as my arm. Around his head is pointy stuff. It is called a frill. The frill protects his brain when he is fighting. Scientists know because they found some with holes. He could fight like a Rhinoceros. Triceratops lived together so they could take care of each other. The mom’s looked after the babies. The baby is smaller, but looks like the mom. By Michelle |
