Dinosaur Watercolors

For our dinosaur topic study I like the children to create a mural on our bulletin board. I ask the children to look through dinosaur books and to choose a dinosaur to draw and paint.  The children use the books as a reference and drew a picture of their dinosaur.  Some children used their imagination and drew their own dinosaur species.

When their drawing was finished they painted their dinosaur.  I told the children they could look at books for dinosaur colors or they could use their imagination.

Once their painting was dry the children cut them out and we added them to a dinosaur mural.  The children helped with the dinosaur placement and placed the dinosaurs where they thought they should be placed.
