Introduction of Unit (February 22, 2002)

Children pointed to the dinosaur they wanted to make an observation about- teacher added the correct name 

Stegosaurus

            He has four feet
            He has big plates on his back

Corythosaurus

            He walks on two feet
            She has two big feet and two little feet

Spinosaurus

            I saw him eat people
            They walk on two feet
            They are the meanest dinosaurs
            That thing on his back looks like a different dinosaur

Brachiosaurus

            They have long necks
            They like the water
            One is green, and one is darker green with brown

Parasaurolophus

            He has a very long tail
            He has a weird thing on his head

Ankylosaurus

            He has a long tail and he walks slow. He can eat grass. He can attack T-Rex with his tail. He is a nice guy, but he protects himself so he doesn’t get hurt.

Tyrannosaurus Rex

            He has sharp teeth
            He has little hands that don’t work very good
            His teeth are big
            He has two legs

Triceratops

            He has horns on his nose
